Top Honeymoon Cruise Destinations

If you're planning your honeymoon, you may want to consider a romantic cruise destination. Cruises are ideal for newlyweds because they can be low budget and easy to plan, meaning that you don't have to stress about the vacation in the weeks leading up to your big day. Where can you go on your honeymoon cruise? The options are nearly limitless, but here are some of the top honeymoon cruise destinations to consider.

Disney Honeymoon Cruises

You might think of a Disney Cruise as more of a family vacation, but this can also be a great option if you're celebrating your new life together. You'll spend a number of days sailing through the Caribbean, and enjoy at least a day at Disney World at the beginning or end of the cruise. Disney cruises are a great option because they're even more hassle-free than a standard cruise, since Disney provides transportation and other special accommodations. Mention that it is your honeymoon, and you'll have even more fun, romantic options.

European Honeymoon Cruises

While most people associate cruises with the Caribbean, another wonderful alternative is a European cruise through the Greek Islands or other Mediterranean locations. These cruises are very romantic, stopping at some of the most beautiful locations in the world and offering tons of privacy to couples who want to celebrate together. Some cruises in the Mediterranean are exclusively for couples, so you can avoid crowds of families with children and singles looking for their next partner. Instead, you can focus on celebrating together.

Hawaiian Honeymoon Cruises

Many couples travel to Hawaii for their honeymoon every year. This might be a great option for you too, since you won't need a passport to book this trip. You'll visit islands such as Kauai, Maui, and the big island of Hawaii, check out black sand beaches, beautiful reefs and more. Many Hawaii cruise ships also have traditionally Hawaiian food and celebrations, like luaus. Because you'll be staying in the United States, the costs associated with a Hawaiian cruise are often much lower than the costs of cruises to other areas of the world. You can also book a hotel and spend some times on land before or after your cruise.

Caribbean Honeymoon Cruises

Of course, the Caribbean is a popular honeymoon cruise destination for couples who want to spend some times in the sun. Most ships travel exclusively to eastern locations or to western locations, though some longer cruises may have you traveling all over the islands. The great thing about a cruise to the Caribbean is that you can see a number of islands without having to book separate vacation to each of them. Along the way, you can also enjoy island activities, food and much more.

Alaskan Honeymoon Cruises

If you and your new spouse enjoy cooler weather, a tropical cruise might not be the best option. Instead, check out Alaskan options. You can go whale watching, see the Northern lights, and participate in other romantic activities while on your Alaska cruise. Along the way, you'll also be able to participate in cruise activities that you'll find on other ships as well, such as trying unique foods, taking classes, and even checking out the pool if the weather is warm enough. Alaskan cruises often allow you to see majestic wildlife as well, which is something you won't get with most other cruises.

French Polynesian Honeymoon Cruises

For a tropical vacation that leaves from Hawaii but doesn't take place in the Caribbean, check out French Polynesian cruises. Typical port destinations include Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea and Papeete. This is a unique and romantic culture, and cruises in this area of the world are usually smaller and less crowded, giving you a more intimate setting to enjoy with your new spouse. Many of these cruises also offer special activities like diving, fishing, and snorkeling, since the reefs in this area are unlike any others.

Confused about where to go on your honeymoon? Your honeymoon is an important time to connect with your new spouse and recover from the stress and frenzy associated with planning your wedding. It's important to take the time to carefully plan this trip together, and consider what will provide the most relaxing and romantic setting. Start by setting your budget, and then explore these romantic honeymoon cruise options. You might be surprised at how affordable they can be.

Talk to a travel agent about booking your trip, and be sure to mention that it is your honeymoon. Many cruise lines offer special discounts, rates and romantic amenities to make your trip a memorable occasion.

Caribbean Beach Vacations - Top 10 Destinations

Looking for the best Caribbean beach vacation? Hey, I love sharing the highlights of all the places I visit and learn about. Below you'll discover the top 10 hot spots for a great beach vacation with examples of what's special about each of them. Then you can decide which one you think would be the best beach vacation in the Caribbean for your trip!

Aruba:

This place is for those that like a non-stop vacation with lots of restaurants, bars casinos. The beaches are gorgeous, the water is wonderful and it hardly ever rains. The scuba diving is awesome with great opportunities for photography. The fishing is pretty good too.

Barbados:

Your troubles will simply wash away in the soft island serenity of this great beach vacation destination. Brighton Beach is a great place to stay for your Caribbean beach vacation and the most popular here. If you want a little more privacy you can get secluded villas around the island. Taking that horseback ride on the beach will feel as if you're in a movie and I would highly recommend trying it. Probably my second favorite beach vacation overall.

Turks and Caicos Islands:

Like long beach walks? At 12 miles long, Grace Bay is simply a phenomenal stretch of soft white sand with smaller luxury resorts, spas and great restaurants perfect for a beach honeymoon vacation. And the water color is the most vibrant translucent turquoise... I love it! Seems that many movie stars and rock stars like it too with several owning homes and vacationing here on some of the 8 secluded islands all with fantastic beaches. Turks & Caicos has long been a diver's paradise with great deep-sea and bone fishing too! Taking the kids? Well, Beaches Resort consistently gets high marks as one of the world's best family beach vacation spots.

Bahamas:

Technically not in the Caribbean, but with so many beautiful beaches I had to add it to the best beach vacation list... it's close enough. Paradise Island is great fun especially swimming with the dolphins, which is an experience of a lifetime. The diving here is fantastic because of the calm waters and enjoying the nightlife is all kinds of fun. For a secluded romantic get-a-way try the pink sand beach on Harbor Island.

British Virgin Islands & U.S. Virgin Islands:

Both make great beach vacations, especially for island hopping. Having a chance to easily enjoy not 1, 2, but potentially 3 islands or more each with it's own charm make for one of the best beach vacation spots. Trunk Bay on St. John is particularly gorgeous and popular with calm waters and an underwater snorkeling "trail."

Cayman Islands:

A very entertaining destination with odd things like feeding iguanas grapes while dining at a restaurant. Definitely worth it for the pictures! Three islands in all, its another great place to island hop and enjoy waterfall climbing, extensive shark diving, and swimming with the stingrays and shopping, shopping, shopping.

Dominican Republic:

Here is a place you can go for a cheap beach vacation and still enjoy all the splendid beauty of a Caribbean island. Have a great time scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, deep sea fishing and hiking. Fabulous beaches too!

Anguilla:

A fun Caribbean beach vacation to tell your friends about. It's the only area known in the Caribbean to have beautiful white sandy beaches deserted during peak season, which makes this a great place for couples to enjoy. Especially with activities that include windsurfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Oh, and if you love seafood, all I can say is, "The best chefs in the Caribbean!"

St. Lucia:

A honeymooners delight. Think jazz music, small island, secluded and intimate and that is St. Lucia. Beautiful beaches, lush tropical foliage, scenic mountains, spectacular sunsets and typically many great all-inclusive packages are offered. It all makes for a very seductive beach honeymoon vacation.

Hey, I could add a couple more since the Caribbean is full of beautiful and interesting places. Some may offer a little better snorkeling or fishing, larger or smaller hotels, more seclusion or more nightlife, but all are wonderful in their own way. You really can't go wrong with these when planning and dreaming of your next Caribbean beach vacation!

The Reason Why a Caribbean Honeymoon is Worth It

You know, as much as we all enjoy a good wedding the only thing I can think of that could be more fun would be the honeymoon. This is a special time though, meant only for the new bride and groom and let's face it, it should be one hell of a vacation. In these tough economic times, young couples finally deciding to tie the knot have a great deal of hardship to deal with. Once they manage to gather they're funds, the family of the bride has to then aid in the paying for the wedding. At the end of the day brides and their mothers want the wedding to be extravagant and beautiful beyond human comprehension, so why not after all that hard work and stress truly let go and enjoy yourselves with a Caribbean honeymoon.

Let's start from the top. The young groom, I'm mainly focusing on the young working couples out there but for you older couples, you feel free to count yourselves in on this one to because we all know that you too have earned it. Now the young man has to save his money, in secret mind you, in order to pay for the engagement ring and if all goes well, he'll end up with the beautiful bride to be by his side. This day may be far off, since many couples need to save for a year or more in order to have the wedding of the bride's dreams.

Now let us move on to the wedding, don't worry the part about your Caribbean honeymoon is coming up shortly! The couple manages to put together a small, but great looking wedding, only partly held together with duck tape to make old MacGyver proud. For example, my cousin and his wife didn't have a great deal of money to work with, but after looking around, pricing things correctly, and putting together all their findings, they had a great wedding without such a huge cost. Now this remember is all for just one day, and that day starts at five am, and will end at about 5 am the following day; so now onto my point about the honeymoon.

Many of these couples have worked so hard for such a long time to make their dreams a reality, working double shifts or weekends at work, and sacrificing that alone time with the one they are going to wed. Why not save just a little extra and spend your honeymoon in one of the most relaxing, beautiful, and fun places in the world? The Caribbean after all is a place meant for total relaxation, a place to get away from it all. Just imagine spending time in the crystal clear, blue water, on the gorgeous white sand beaches, finally getting the rest you've worked so hard for.

Taking your honeymoon in the Caribbean is a great way to make up for that lost time with your new husband or wife by taking them to a place where you can truly relax and to get close to him or her again. In the end, with all the stress of life that builds up as you try and put together your future, and get ready for the things to come, maybe the best choice is to make the most of that special time with your loved one with a Caribbean honeymoon.

Save money today on your Caribbean Honeymoon. Enjoy the beauty that comes with crystal clear water and seductive white sand. Click Here to save with the number 1 destination.

Choosing a Caribbean Honeymoon Resort

Finding a Caribbean honeymoon resort is easy. The hard part is choosing the one that's right for your honeymoon. There are over 7000 Caribbean islands, not all of which are inhabited. Of the over 7000 islands there are a total of 36 island groups made up of either single islands, such as Jamaica, or island groups like the Bahamas, which boasts 2400 islands. Each of these islands has its own distinct cultural flavor and intimate resorts for the perfect honeymoon.

So how do you choose the right resort for you and your soon to be spouse? There are so many Caribbean honeymoon resorts to choose from. There are all inclusive couples only super resorts such as Sandals to more intimate Caribbean villas and inns.

The first thing you need to do when choosing a Caribbean honeymoon resort is to decide which island you would like to stay on. There is such a range of diversity to choose from depending on what you want to do on your honeymoon. For those who like water sports, golf and just hanging out on the beach just about any of the islands will do.

If you are looking for an all around Caribbean experience then Jamaica may be the place for you. With beachside all inclusive super resorts and intimate mountain villas Jamaica has something for everyone. If you want to hike through tropical rain forests and climb cascading waterfalls or spend time shopping the day away and clubbing until the wee hours of the morning then Jamaica is the perfect choice.

For a more intimate Caribbean honeymoon try some of the smaller islands such as Culebra and Dominica. These two islands will truly let you get away from it all, tropical paradises where time ceases to mean anything and there isn't much to do except just kick back and enjoy the intimacy of being newlyweds.

The Bahamas are made up of 2400 islands and provide just about any and all activities anyone would want to do on a Caribbean honeymoon. There is every accommodation possible, from five star resorts to small family run inns hidden along the old world city streets. And for anyone who has ever wanted to swim with dolphins Grand Bahama boasts the Dolphin Experience.

So as you can see just choosing the Caribbean island you wish to visit can take some doing. Once you find the island to fit you choosing the Caribbean honeymoon resort becomes much easier. Although the size of the island you choose as your honeymoon destination will have an impact on the number of resorts to choose from. The bigger the island the more honeymoon resorts there will be, and again, just like the islands themselves the possibilities are pretty limitless.

But rest assured that which ever Caribbean honeymoon resort you choose you will not be disappointed. Honeymooning in a tropical paradise is the ultimate romantic destination.

Explore The Many Exoctic Honeymoon Locations Of The Caribbean

Your "new life together" really begins with your honeymoon vacation. The honeymoon is a well deserved post-marriage trip that many newlyweds take to celebrate their new life together. The North Beach Cottage offers more private accommodations and boasts its own kitchen, living room, several terraces and a private saltwater pool. During your romantic getaway you can enjoy tennis, the use of small, personal sailboats, windsurfing equipment, snorkeling gear, or simply hike along one of the various scenic trails. Just about 480 miles south of Florida this small chain of islands are big on romance, privacy, unforgettable sandy beaches, world class snorkeling and unique diving adventures. Aruba

Aruba's culturally diverse background can make this island an excellent place for the historically minded couple taking a Caribbean honeymoon. The first inhabitants on the island were actually a tribe of Indians from Venezuala known as Arawak. Many places in Aruba still have their original Indian names and many of the Aruban people still echo the faces of their native ancestors. For the history buffs or museum lovers, you can treat yourself to the Archeology Museum located in Oranjestad. You will discover an interesting collection of Indian artifacts that tell a story about the history and life of the first inhabitants of this exotic island. Another idea to add to your Aruba Honeymoon to-do list is to take a scenic drive to the country side where you can take in the vibrant, wild beauty of Aruba while spending quality private time with you sweet heart.

If you don't get to stay at the amazing Atlantis Resort, that's fine because you can take an afternoon and visit this mega resort which is an attraction in itself.

St. Martin/St. Maarten

Whether you venture to the French or the Dutch side of this Caribbean island, you will experience great food, shopping and beautiful sunsets. While the Dutch side is more commercialized and has a busy cruise port, it offers beautiful hotel choices, great duty free selections and water sports abound. The French side offers secluded beaches with a more relaxing and upscale elegance in accommodations and dining options. The added bonus to this island is that you can use it as a jump off point to the nearby island of Anguilla which is only a 20 minute ferry ride away.

Barbados

What's not to love about beautiful Barbados. The west coast side of the island offers a selection of calm clear beaches and accommodations that range from inexpensive guest houses to opulent hotels that provide luxury and comfort. This island is not known for its all inclusive hotel packages, as Barbados wants you to experience the sumptuous delights of the islands fine dining restaurants at your leisure. Take the time while honeymooning to enjoy the exciting nightlife in the St. Lawrence Gap area, tour Harrisons Cave or play golf at one of the islands magnificent golf courses.

Dominican Republic-Punta Cana

A popular choice for honeymooners, it is known for its amazing white sand beaches, palm trees and a wide array of beautiful all inclusive resorts. With a year round average temperature of 82 degrees F, this destination makes enjoying the sun, sand and sea a perfect delight. Honeymooners should not forget to take a romantic horseback ride along the beach or participate in the abundance of water sports available at most resorts.

Caribbean Honeymoon - Top 10 Destinations

Planning your Caribbean honeymoon shouldn't be as complex as planning your wedding... Right! But with so many enticing options, where do you start? Well, start here of course and let me help you discover the best of the best honeymoon destinations.

Certainly you're looking for a romantic adventure where you'll experience many "first time" events together and every couple wants something a little different. I had a fabulous Caribbean honeymoon and have taken some great trips in my lifetime. Check out these top picks and what makes them special. One of them is perfect for that memorable trip you've been dreaming of!

Barbados

This island is absolutely gorgeous and you will definitely leave feeling spoiled. Stay at the secluded 110-year-old Crane Hotel for nostalgic romance or at the Peach & Quiet for a budget honeymoon. It's the adventurous couples dream with clear blue waters for scuba divers, windsurfers, and sightseeing from the air in a helicopter or underwater in a mini-sub. You'll find decent beaches here, but not the best of the bunch.

Turks & Caicos

If you like small secluded luxury hotels with world-class spas and great restaurants, then you'll love it here on any of the eight inhabited islands. The uncrowded beaches are absolutely fabulous. You may even end up sunbathing next to a movie star as many vacation in the Turks & Caicos. Go horseback riding, sail to one of the many deserted islands and play "Lost" for the day, see flocks of flamingos or thousands of iguanas on Little Water Cay. The scuba diving and snorkeling are phenomenal as is the deep-sea fishing and bone fishing. Kite-boarding, windsurfing and other water sports are also popular. A definite favorite for a perfect beach honeymoon vacation!

St. Lucia

This island is straight out of a fairytale with lush tropical scenery and twin mountain peaks covered in rain forest serenity. The locals are very friendly and seeing the St. Lucia Soufriere volcano from the inside will leave you in awe. Taking a day to tour the island on horseback is one of the major reasons this is in the top ten places to take a Caribbean honeymoon. Also, many hotels really cater to honeymooners with all-inclusive packages. Go in May and you'll catch the Jazz Festival, which is way fun!

Dominican Republic

A great choice for a budget honeymoon that still had beautiful beaches and lots to offer. Taking a catamaran ride to the enchanting Saona Island is just one of the ways to enjoy this romantic getaway. Add a visit to the 600-acre Ecological Park enjoying a dozen blue lagoons is nothing short then a romantic getaway in heaven.

Martinique

A great romantic get-a-way, yet for some reason it's still underrated compared to the rest here. Inhale the French culture along with the tantalizing scents of the beautiful flowers that consume the entire island. Take a canopy tour and go hiking in the rain forest canyons before getting a taste of superb Creole cuisine, going shopping and sampling the fairly lively nightlife.

Anguilla

When people choose a Caribbean honeymoon this island is over-looked more times than not. I have no idea why because it's built for couples to enjoy. You won't find much commercialization here, the nightlife is pretty low-key and water sports are not a big draw. But you'll have dozens of fantastic beaches to explore and the fine dining is possibly the best in all the Caribbean.

British Virgin Islands (BVI)

You have several islands to choose from with many hotel options for a secluded romantic retreat. Ride a yacht to the famous Baths of Virgin Gorda or find a hidden beach for you and your loved to enjoy all alone. The beach bars on Jost Van Dyke are a fun hangout popular with sailors.

US Virgin Islands (USVI)

All beautiful areas here, the fact that they're all considered part of the United States makes things more convenient. St. John has the best beaches and diving while St. Thomas is known for excellent dining and shopping. Of course, St. Croix is cheaper and also has casinos, so you pick or hop around. The variety of USVI makes it one of the best honeymoon destinations.

Jamaica

I absolutely love Ocho Rios. The Dunn's River Falls has got to be the coolest adventure climb on any island. Climb the waterfall and jump back down into the water... amazing! Horseback riding on the beach, a little reggae music and rum at sunset and you've got yourself a nice romantic getaway plus it's great for a budget honeymoon.

Cayman Islands

Saving this for last simply because if you want to take a romantic Caribbean honeymoon and still feel like your back home this is the closest thing you'll come across. With many American themes you won't feel too far away, but taking in some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean will be breathtaking. Also, if you are into shopping and eating well, then the Caymans have got to be a top pick for you Caribbean honeymoon.

Now that you've got some good ideas, you just have to decide which is the best honeymoon destination for you. Hopefully this list has got you excited and also helped narrow down your choices too. Good luck and have fun. Whichever one you decide on, I hope you two have a wonderful wedding and a romantic honeymoon!

Top Six Caribbean Honeymoon Destinations

The Caribbean would have to be one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. Out of all the different places which make up the Caribbean you will be able to have whatever kind of honeymoon you desire.

Whether it is spending all day relaxing on the beach, playing golf, extreme water sports or just an isolated getaway where you are the only two people in sight. The Caribbean has something for everyone.

I've come up with the top six places to honeymoon in the Caribbean.

Cancun

On Mexico's Eastern coastline Cancun is thought of by many as the premier honeymoon destination, simply because it has it all. You can swim all day at one of the many beaches, play golf in some of the best golf courses, shop to your heart's content and then live it up at night in one of the numerous nightclubs.

Puerto Rico

With 435km of pristine coastline, Puerto Rico is a dream honeymoon location. Quieter than Cancun, you can still enjoy all the water sports you can think of as well as visiting the only rainforest which is part of the United States National Forest Service.

Punta Cana

On the eastern side of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana has beaches lined with coconut trees giving it the nickname the Coconut Coast. If you're looking for a laid back relaxing beach honeymoon, this is the place for you.

Antigua

With nearly 400 beaches, Antigua is definitely a place for the sun loving water babies. The beaches are mostly protected from the wind from the island itself, so you can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters and sunbathing in the eggshell white sand all day long.

The Bahamas

With roughly 700 different islands varying in sizes The Bahamas make a very versatile honeymoon destination. The biggest island is Grand Bahama Island which has several all inclusive resorts or you can stay on one of the many other islands including Nassau or Paradise Island. The best thing about the Bahamas is the fact it's so easy to travel to from anywhere in the US.

Jamaica

Probably one of the most affordable islands in the Caribbean; Jamaica is widely known for Reggae, rum and jerk chicken. But there is so much more to this beautiful island. In size Jamaica is the third biggest in the Caribbean and they speak English so you don't have to worry about translation issues. With a climate that is perfect year round Jamaica has it all.

Caribbean honeymoons are a great option, but there are many other places to choose from. Check out my other articles on various locations which I think would be perfect for honeymoon destinations [http://www.honeymoon-travel-destinations.com/hm].
